About the role

At HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge, you will serve as a patient advocate and provide patient care through the development and implementation of ongoing systems and practices that promote and maintain quality nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology Department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for procedures, including checking and verifying vital signs, medications, NPO status, lab results, and medical history
- Insert and remove intravenous lines
- Administer conscious sedation drugs and other medications
- Monitor patient patterns and vital signs during procedures
- Oversee the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures
- Provide post-procedure monitoring, observing for signs and symptoms of complications such as bleeding from the puncture site, pain, and/or changes in mental status or vital signs
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Current Colorado Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Interventional Radiology experience required
- 2+ years of critical care experience within the past 5 years (Critical Care, ED, Radiology, or PACU; surgery center PACU-only experience does not qualify)
- Must be able to function independently, be multi-task oriented, and show excellent prioritizing skills
- 1 year of experience required
