Department Details
The Interventional Radiology Department is located at both the Broadway Hospital and SMCF. It utilizes minimally-invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in nearly every organ system. Patient populations include angiograms, embolization, gastric tube care, Permcath care, fistulgrams, para/thoracentesis, TIPS, IVC filters, aortograms, vertebroplasty, venograms, ELVS/phlebectomy procedure, nephrostogram, esophogram, abscessogram, biopsies and injections. Primary hours are Monday-Friday 0630-1700. Call rotation includes 3-4 weeknights/month and one weekend every other month. Sign on bonus available for eligible candidates!
Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions
- Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care
- Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care
- Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (e.g., AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
