Registered Nurse Internal Travel
About the Role
DaVita Kidney Care has brought industry-leading clinical quality to patients on-site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services. Patients receive dialysis care on-site at the SNF in 6 to 8 chair DaVita dialysis treatment rooms.
The DaVita SNF Dialysis National Float Pool/Travel RN will cover high-priority staffing needs as determined by the business. The RN can be deployed to dens nationwide. This includes providing RN coverage for situations like new dialysis den launches, increased patient census, PTO/Leave of Absence coverage that is over 1 week in duration, or covering after a teammate's termination.
Teammates must be comfortable working autonomously and have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources across the organization.
What You Can Expect
- Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track
- Troubleshoot and make sound decisions for patients related to their dialysis treatment
- Occasionally partner alongside the SNF staff to coordinate care
- Conduct impactful and meaningful education to patients and their families in the SNF setting
- Independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care
- Supervise Dialysis Technicians who are tasked with delivering tandem care to meet the capacity and efficiency goals of the program
- Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting, applying core nursing skills to assess, diagnose and implement complete care plans
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license willing to obtain license in multiple states
- Minimum of 12 months' of RN experience
- Current Chronic Hemodialysis, Acute Dialysis and/or Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) nursing experience
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
- Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)

Pay
The Wage Range for the role is $44.00 - $60.00/hour. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
Schedule & Travel
Scheduling will be posted 2 weeks in advance for the month ahead. To meet coverage needs, you must be willing to meet state RN licensing requirements in multiple states. DaVita SNF Dialysis will provide an hourly pay rate to account for the float requirements. Travel cost is reimbursed (flight, mileage, lodging & food).
