Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit (ICCU)

About the role

Join a 20-bed Intermediate Critical Care Unit as a Registered Nurse, providing direct patient care for diverse critical and acute medical populations, including surgical, neurological, respiratory, and detox patients. Work includes managing high-acuity cases with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1 to 4:1 in a supportive team environment with strong leadership and resources such as Rapid Response and Respiratory Therapy teams. The unit follows a family-centered care approach with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Manage titratable IV drips, chest tubes, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and stable tracheostomies.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in the appropriate state.

Qualifications

• Preferred one year of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build genuine patient relationships.
