Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Cardiology

About the Role

This is a PRN (as-needed) position for a Registered Nurse in the ICU, providing specialized care to adult and geriatric populations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered service while adhering to nursing standards and promoting a safe, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient conditions and care.
• Monitor patient conditions, manage specialized care (e.g., restraints, pain management), and report changes or risks promptly.
• Promote high-quality care through effective communication, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Implement infection control practices and maintain a safe environment.
• Adhere to organizational policies, standards, and evidence-based practices.
• Assist in achieving excellence in nursing standards and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid RN license in applicable states.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ALS (Advanced Life Support) certifications.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
