Registered Nurse - Inpatient Wound Care

About the role

The Opportunity at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is for a Wound Care Registered Nurse to join a supportive and collaborative team. This role involves supporting patients in the inpatient setting, initiating actions to improve nursing practice, patient care, and unit processes.

Responsibilities

• Initiate wound care assessments
• Demonstrate increasing discriminatory judgment in interpreting data and prioritize appropriately
• Serve as a day-to-day resource to colleagues at unit and departmental levels
• Collaborate with physicians
• Make recommendations
• Assist with quarterly surveys

Requirements

• Applicable Experience: 1 year
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Registered Nurse - Various
• Associate Degree

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday shifts, various days position as needed during week, no weekend requirement.

Qualifications

This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to educate others. It also requires autonomy in daily work and an enthusiasm for collaboration, teaching, and helping others succeed.
