Registered Nurse Inpatient Rehab
About the role
As a Rehab Nurse at TriStar Skyline Medical Center, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. You will utilize therapeutic communication, maintain a safe therapeutic environment, identify nursing problems related to individual patient needs, and plan individualized care using an interdisciplinary approach. You will also participate in performance improvement activities and coordinate care that aligns with the hospital’s mission and vision statement.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs while carrying out physician orders.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
