Registered Nurse - Inpatient Oncology - Per Diem Days

About the role

The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based patient care. They assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a variety of complex patients, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Achieve desired outcomes through comprehensive patient assessment, development of care plans, and ongoing communication with patients and families.
• Administer medications safely using advanced technologies and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
• Evaluate patient progress and initiate necessary interventions based on clinical observations.
• Adapt to changing patient needs and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in the State of New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR Certification by American Heart Association.
• Six (6) or more months of nursing experience, or active participation in the Nurse Residency Program.
• BSN preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.
• OCN preferred.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course preferred.
