About the Role
The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. They supervise and provide care to these patients utilizing the nursing process, including the therapeutic use of self.
Pavilion 5 is a 30-bed med-surg unit with a focus on oncology patients. The unit provides compassionate, cutting-edge care for patients battling cancer and is among the select facilities offering Tumor Infiltrating Lymphocytes (TIL) therapy, a revolutionary form of immunotherapy. The unit is also preparing to introduce stem cell transplant capabilities. Pavilion 5 is staffed by a team of oncologists, nurses, and support staff committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients and is the winner of the 2024 Nurse Excellence Team Award.
Responsibilities
- Follows established policies and procedures.
- Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
- Provides excellent customer service, interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
- Applies Cooper's core values.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year or more of acute care experience in an inpatient setting (strongly preferred).
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing.
- Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse).
- Current NJ-BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
- Certain specialties may require advanced certification (e.g., ACLS, NALS, PALS).
Schedule
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week, rotating weekends and holidays.
