About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Community MD Anderson will manage patient care in the healthcare continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner. Responsibilities include administering and monitoring high-risk medications and infusions, collaborating with advanced practice providers, physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and transplant coordinators to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor high-risk medications and infusions, including blood products and IV fluids, chemotherapy and lymphodepleting regimens (as applicable), and immunosuppressive agents and supportive care medications.
- Collaborate closely with advance practice providers, physicians, pharmacists, social work, and transplant coordinators to ensure seamless, patient centered care.
Requirements
- Graduate of NLN, CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- BSN strongly preferred.
- Current Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card.
- Current ONCC, OCN, or BMTCN.
- Experience with caring for stem cell transplant or cellular transplant patients (Car T-cell therapy and TIL patients).
