Registered Nurse - Inpatient Medical Psych

Responsibilities

• Treat patients, educate them about mental and medical conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members.
• Run therapeutic groups and perform psychiatric crisis intervention, including seclusion and restraint of patients.
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms, perform diagnostic tests, analyze results, and operate medical machinery.
• Administer treatment and medications, and assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.
• Teach patients and families how to manage illness or injury, including diet and exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team processes, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health.

Pay

The estimated starting compensation for this role is $52.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
