Registered Nurse - Inpatient Float Pool, Night Shift

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive patient care, including direct treatment, patient and family education, and care transitions. They support professional nursing practices across various settings, ensuring quality and safety aligned with the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model and ANA standards. Key duties include planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating nursing care, providing leadership through mentoring, committee participation, and quality improvement initiatives. The RN delegates tasks based on skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources, demonstrating excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. The role may require driving a personal vehicle and involves maintaining licensure, BLS certification, and possibly additional state or specialty certifications. Qualifications include a nursing program graduate with evidence of baccalaureate degree completion if applicable, and preferred one year of RN or LPN experience.
