Registered Nurse (Inpatient Behavioral Health) - Princeton, NJ - Full Time (Evening Shift)

About the Role

Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the evening shift within Princeton House Behavioral Health (PHBH). This position is within Behavioral Health Float, and the RN will be floated to multiple units. Our inpatient psychiatric services provide short-term stabilization and treatment for mental health disorders in a secure, calm environment where patients can focus on healing. Daily psychiatrist visits and around-the-clock medical supervision support patients on their journey to better mental health.

Location: Princeton House Behavioral Health (905 Herrontown Road, Princeton, NJ).

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a plan of nursing care based on goals derived from identified needs; revises the patients' individualized plan of care as indicated.
• Implements individualized nursing plan of care, consistent with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing care and participates in evaluating and improving the delivery of care on the unit.
• Demonstrates accuracy in entering medication orders on the computer and medication administration.
• Provides appropriate coordination of care and intervention to patients undergoing a psychiatric or medical emergency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, or in pursuit of.
• A registered nurse with an Associate’s Degree and greater than 5 years of clinical experience in a clinical specialty may be considered.
• 15 months of RN experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Active RN license in New Jersey required.

Schedule

Five evening shifts (3 PM–11 PM) per week, including every other weekend.

Pay

Salary range: $49.96 – $68.99 per hour. Successful candidates are provided a specific rate based on experience and education.
