About the Role
Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work the day shift within Princeton House Behavioral Health (PHBH). This position is within Wing 1 (Voluntary Psych/Dual diagnosis for psych) with 14 beds. We understand the unique recovery challenges of people with co-occurring disorders and treat both conditions simultaneously. That’s why people with both a mental health and substance use disorder receive specialized care at Princeton House. Outcomes show that this approach reduces the risk of relapse and improves the chances of long-term recovery.
Location: Princeton House Behavioral Health (905 Herrontown Road, Princeton, NJ).
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains a plan of nursing care based on goals derived from identified needs; revises the patients individualized plan of care as indicated
- Implements individualized nursing plan of care, consistent with established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing care, and participates in evaluating and improving the delivery of care on the unit
- Demonstrates accuracy in entering medication orders on the computer and medication administration
- Provides appropriate coordination of care and intervention to patients undergoing a psychiatric or medical emergency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, or in pursuit of
- A registered nurse with an Associate’s Degree with greater than 5 years of clinical experience in a clinical specialty may be considered
- 15 months of RN experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Active RN NJ license required

Schedule
- Five evening shifts (7AM-3PM) per week
- Every other weekend required
Pay
Salary Range: $49.96 - $68.99/hour. As part of their job offer, successful candidates are provided a specific rate, taking into consideration various factors including experience and education.
