The position is a Temporary Registered Nurse-Infusion (6-8 months) with an employment type of .8-1.0 (64-80 hours per pay period), working Days in the IV Therapy department. Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with the providers to assess the needs of each patient on an individual basis and provide the services necessary to meet these needs.
• Completes admission assessment according to unit policy, utilizing past medical history, therapeutic communication and physical assessment.
• Identifies accurately, nursing diagnosis/collaborative problems to determine appropriate interventions within the framework of accepted standards of care.
• Assumes patient care responsibilities by organizing workload effectively and remaining flexible to environmental changes.
• Communicates professionally and effectively with patients, families, co-workers, healthcare team members and ancillary departments to ensure “Patient‑Centered” coordination of care.
• Performs assessment and maintenance of central lines, PICC lines, and Port-a-caths, Groshong catheters, etc. including flushes and blood draws per established protocols.
• Participates in performance improvement activities to evaluate and improve patient care.
