Registered Nurse - Infusion Room - Clinical Coordinator Ambulatory Procedural

Full time roles are eligible for a sign-on bonus. The amount is dependent upon FTE.

Full-Time, Monday–Friday. Some weekend coverage required.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a minimum of one year of RN experience to serve as a lead coordinator for patients with complex infusion needs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless, high-quality care across multiple specialty areas, requiring strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and providers. Preferred qualifications include 3–5 years of infusion nursing experience, chemotherapy certifications, and coordinator experience. This position may also provide coverage at our IU Health North clinic and includes some weekend coverage with no holiday requirements.

The Registered Nurse in this role will work in the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic and Infusion Center at Riley Children’s Hospital. You will gain experience in critical thinking in a fast-paced environment, ambulatory and infusion care, central line access and maintenance, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood product and medication administration, hypersensitivity reaction training, and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage complex infusion therapies for patients across various disease-specific divisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and providers to advance patient plans of care and achieve outcomes.
• Perform nursing skills such as central line access and maintenance, PIVs, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood product administration.
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Work directly with oncology-trained pharmacists in the on-site infusion area.
• Engage in nurse-led governance councils and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Advocate for patients and adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Indiana state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions considered for candidates with more than two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA.
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Preferred: 3–5 years of infusion nursing experience, chemotherapy certifications, and coordinator experience.
