About the role

VIVO Infusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and clinical guidelines. You will administer infusion treatments, calculate and mix prescription medications, perform skillful and accurate IV insertions, and monitor patients before, during, and after treatments to ensure their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and attentive manner within your scope of practice.
  • Calculate, mix, and administer prescription medications daily.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatment.
  • Assist with managing and overseeing inventory and supply ordering.
  • Document and report patient assessments to medical staff and other healthcare team members.
  • Perform skillful and accurate IV insertions.
  • Communicate with providers via Telehealth as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Perform admission and ongoing assessments on patients.
  • Complete daily run/flow sheet reviews on treatments as assigned.
  • Demonstrate competencies in all facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with clinical and technical issues.
  • Supervise assigned unlicensed direct patient care team members.
  • Enforce and adhere to all HIPAA compliance policies.
  • Ensure complete and accurate daily electronic charting documentation and reporting in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state professional nurse licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree program.
  • ONC Certification preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of IV experience.
  • Infusion experience preferred.
  • Certification in specialty/CRNI (Certified RN Infusion) preferred.
  • ICU/ED experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of and commitment to safety and excellence.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to complete accurate dose calculations and mix medications independently on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety requirements, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Pay

Pay Range: $39.00 - $43.00 per hour.

Bonus Plan Target: 5% annually (based on performance).

Schedule

Part-time, Non-Exempt.

Monday, Thursday, and Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment is indoors in a medical office and is generally quiet, including sounds of medical equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and/or hear. The employee frequently uses hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee must stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
