Registered Nurse - Infusion, Part Time - Braintree, MA

About the role

VIVO Infusion is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies, and clinical guidelines. Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and attentive manner as related to your scope of practice.
• Calculate, mix, and administer prescription medications daily.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after infusion treatment to ensure their comfort and well-being.
• Assist with managing and overseeing inventory and supply ordering.
• Document and report on patient assessments to medical staff and other healthcare team members on an ongoing basis.
• Perform skillful and accurate IV insertions.
• Communicate with providers via Telehealth as needed.
• Assist in the implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities.
• Perform admission and ongoing assessments on patients.
• Complete daily run/flow sheet reviews on treatments as assigned.
• Demonstrate competencies in all facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with clinical and technical issues.
• Supervise assigned unlicensed direct patient care team members.
• Enforce and adhere to all HIPAA compliance policies.
• Ensure complete and accurate daily electronic charting documentation and reporting in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state professional nurse licensure, required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree program, required.
• ONC Certified, preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification, required.
• Minimum of 1 year of IV experience, required.
• Infusion experience, preferred.
• Certification in specialty/CRNI (Certified RN Infusion), preferred.
• ICU/ED experience, preferred.

• Ability to complete accurate dose calculations and mix medications independently on a regular daily basis.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work environment includes regular exposure to moving mechanical parts (medical equipment and machinery), potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate.

• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color differentiation, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Requires standing, walking, talking, hearing, and smelling; excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Frequent sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, or crawling.
• May require the use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shields, goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments.

Pay

Pay Range: $55.00 - $58.00/hour

Bonus Plan Target: 5% Annually (Based on performance)
