Infusion Registered Nurse (Part-Time)

About the Role

Metro Infusion Center, affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, is seeking a part-time Infusion Registered Nurse to work at the clinic in Roseville, MI. The ideal candidate will have excellent IV skills, with PICC certification preferred but not required. This position offers the opportunity to utilize high-tech infusion skills in an office setting with competitive pay.

Schedule

3 days (24 hours)/week; Wednesday-Friday

Responsibilities

• Insert Peripheral lines and teach infusion patients how to self-administer medications
• Document procedures in the Medical Record
• Perform PICC dressing changes and manage PICC lines
• Review and chart daily laboratory results, communicating findings to physicians and/or patients
• E-prescribe medications and refills per physician orders and communicate with pharmacies
• Handle patient telephone calls, schedule appointments, and manage weekend office visits as needed
• Review EMR charts for upcoming appointments, order lab results, and ensure meaningful use compliance
• Participate in quality assurance and educational activities
• Monitor patient care needs, establish priorities, and ensure a safe environment
• Assist physicians with ordering procedures and diagnostic tests
• Order laboratory tests, follow up on abnormal results, and manage medication refills
• Maintain patient records, billing documentation, and administrative correspondence in the EHR
• Administer immunizations, TB screenings, medications, and blood draws per guidelines
• Adhere to nursing standards, JCAHO regulations, state laws, and MIDC policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by physicians and the practice administrator

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Valid MI RN state license
• At least 2 years of RN office practice experience, preferably in infusion
• Infusion experience required; chemo experience preferred but not required
• Proof of current vaccinations (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, COVID-19)
• Accommodations/exceptions for vaccinations considered on a case-by-case basis
