Registered Nurse Imaging KMH

About the role

Coordinate total patient care for patients undergoing examinations and interventional radiology procedures in the Imaging Services Department. Collaborate with physicians, imaging services staff, pre-surgical evaluation, patient care units, and Ambulatory Surgery. Participate in patient and family teaching. Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice and performance improvement.

Schedule

Days with varied start times between 7:00am and 9:00am.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in the Imaging Services Department.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage in patient and family education.
• Lead and maintain professional nursing standards and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Current New York State Professional Nursing License.
• Certification in ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification within 4 months of hire.
• One year of experience in a critical care area.
• Completed cardiac rhythm course or demonstrated competency.
