Registered Nurse II ? Medical ICU, Full-time, 7PM-7AM Night Shift

About the role

The Intensive Care Unit is a 12-bed Medical and Respiratory MICU caring for patients with acute medical issues such as sepsis, GI bleeding, post code blue and respiratory issues. On this unit, registered nurses typically have a 1:2 ratio and 1:1 ratio patients that meet the criteria. Each room has a HEPA filter, PAPRS readily available, and RNs receive a new N95 mask per day.

Responsibilities

• Care for critically ill patients with acute medical conditions
• Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with family members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited program
• Current California RN license
• At least 1 year of acute care experience
• Experience with critical care equipment and procedures

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology

Pay

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
