Responsibilities
- Adhere to departmental policies, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Precept new staff and evaluate clinical performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet department objectives and maintain infection control.
- Prepare patients, assist with assessments, and document medical histories.
- Resolve complex patient and management issues independently using clinical expertise.
- Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and communicate effectively using AIDET principles.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, maintaining a safe environment.
- Accurately record and maintain medical records, reports, and supplies.
- Coordinate patient appointments, relay test results, and provide education.
- Follow policies, inspect clinical areas for compliance, and take corrective actions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver appropriate care per physician orders.
- Perform age-specific care skills, problem-solve patient care issues, and pursue professional development.
Qualifications
- Completed nursing degree and valid RN license.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional nursing experience, preferably in cardiac or cardiothoracic surgery.
- CPR certification.
