Qualifications
- Educational requirements: Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
- Experience: Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure – Must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association
- NIHSTROKE - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (AHA) - American Heart Association
- NVCRISIS - Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Instructor (CPI) - Crisis Prevention Institute
- Magnet - ANCC Recognized Certification
- ENPC - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Certification (ENA)
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course or Instructor (ENA)

About Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital
Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital officially opened in March 2025 as Houston Methodist’s ninth hospital, bringing world-class care and cutting-edge technology to the heart of the rapidly growing U.S. 290 corridor. With 100 beds at opening (licensed for 276), the hospital is equipped with advanced innovations designed to enhance communication between patients, physicians, staff and families and elevate the care experience.
Located off Highway 290 between Barker-Cypress and Jarvis Road, the hospital campus also includes medical office buildings that house our breast care center, cancer and infusion center, orthopedics and sports medicine and multi-specialty physician practices.
