About the role
The facility is a 16-bed state-of-the-art Secure Residential Facility located in Essex, Vermont. It offers a gymnasium and provides person-centered treatment for adults with severe mental illness. Night shift differential and weekend differential are provided.
Responsibilities
- Utilize clinical assessment and judgment to make independent and autonomous decisions within the scope of RN practice.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of nursing care and coordinate care with internal and external partners.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications.
- Provide on-duty supervision for professional and paraprofessional nursing staff.
- Assist the Nurse Educator & RN III in facilitating ongoing competencies/trainings with nursing staff.
Requirements
- Possession of, or eligibility for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligibility to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license.
- Two (2) years or more of professional nursing experience OR one (1) year or more of experience as a Registered Nurse I with the State of Vermont.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Specialty areas: Psychiatric, Geriatric, Pediatric/Adolescent.

Pay
- Starting rate may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
- Night shift differential of $4.00 per hour.
- Weekend differential of $1.50 per hour.
- Time and a half pay for hours worked over 80 in two weeks.
