Registered Nurse - ICU Lead, Full-Time, Day Shift

About the Role

Provides unit-based leadership in a healthcare setting, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Supervises nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and positive patient outcomes while maintaining patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs staff activities, develops care plans, and monitors patient care quality.
  • Fosters an environment focused on cultural diversity, patient satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with safety goals, quality measures, and hospital policies through participation in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assesses staffing needs based on patient acuity, assigns personnel appropriately, and manages schedules and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance, facility safety, and departmental operations to optimize safety and efficiency.
  • Participates in staff development, handles disciplinary actions, and supports hiring and onboarding processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent required; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' technical nursing experience, with supervisory skills.
  • Current RN licensure, BLS certification, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
  • Compliance with facility and department-specific certifications and safety standards.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and cultural competence.
