Role Overview: This position provides unit-based leadership in a hospital setting, collaborating with nursing management, physicians, and staff to ensure high-quality patient care, safety, and satisfaction. Responsibilities Include Supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel, ensuring effective patient care delivery.Developing and implementing care plans, fostering patient and family-centered care with attention to cultural diversity.Monitoring compliance with safety standards, quality measures, and hospital policies through participation in performance improvement activities.Assessing staffing needs based on patient acuity, assigning personnel, and managing schedules to optimize efficiency and control costs.Participating in staff performance evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions, and hiring decisions.Ensuring department safety, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness, and facilitating repairs when needed.Engaging with patients and families to gather feedback, address concerns, and improve service quality. Qualifications And Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required), Master’s preferred.Minimum five years of technical nursing experience, with supervisory skills.Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the practice state.Required certifications include BLS and NIH Stroke Scale; CPR, clinical specialty, and other certifications are preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment abilities, with a focus on patient safety and team collaboration.
