About the Role

This position applies the nursing process in providing direct and indirect holistic care to patients and their families. The role collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members to meet patient needs, delegates aspects of care within the scope of nursing practice, and evaluates the effectiveness of care plans.

Location

Clinton Regional Hospital at 610 W Main St, Wilmington, OH 45177—a 165-bed hospital in Wilmington, Ohio. Enjoy the tranquility of country living with easy access to Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus, each about an hour’s drive away.

Responsibilities

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessment of patients and families, documents findings, and communicates them to the healthcare team.
  • Plans and individualizes patient care based on assessments, standards of care, and desired outcomes, including discharge planning.
  • Provides a safe, therapeutic environment while maintaining patient autonomy, dignity, and rights.
  • Balances patient needs with unit/facility priorities and responds to emergency situations.
  • Completes patient assignments and documents care within scheduled timeframes.
  • Bases interventions on clinical data and desired outcomes, documenting accordingly.
  • Trains and educates staff, acting as an expert resource in the specialty area.
  • Evaluates the plan of care, collaborates with the healthcare team, and revises plans as needed.
  • Supervises care delegated to other healthcare team members.
  • Performs technical skills safely, including medication administration and equipment use.
  • Demonstrates organizational responsibilities, such as self-improvement, functioning in relief charge roles, and maintaining current knowledge.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing (new hires must obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire).
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers).
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Knowledge and skills derived from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex healthcare needs.
  • Preferred: Membership in a related professional organization.
  • Preferred: More than 1 year of full-time or 2 years of part-time acute care experience.
  • Preferred: Certification in specialty area.

Schedule

  • Full-Time (72 hours bi-weekly).
  • Night shift: 7PM – 7AM.
  • Weekend and holiday rotation.

Pay

  • Competitive shift differentials with the potential to earn up to an additional $10 per hour based on shift, hours worked, and organizational guidelines.
  • Sign-on bonus: $5,000.
