Registered Nurse - ICU

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in Intensive Care Units.

Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive patient assessments, including admission, transfer, post-op, and discharge evaluations, and accurately documenting findings.
• Developing, coordinating, and evaluating individualized care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and standards of care.
• Administering medications, managing IV fluids, and coordinating referrals and consultations, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Monitoring patient conditions, recognizing changes, and implementing appropriate nursing actions.
• Providing specialized care such as restraint management, pain control, and abuse assessments following best practices.
• Ensuring safety, infection control, and adherence to policies, including mandatory trainings and certifications.
• Delivering compassionate, respectful service, effective communication, and patient education to foster a positive environment.
• Engaging in performance improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and quality assurance activities.
• Providing age-appropriate care, promoting teamwork, and maintaining a professional, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Current RN license in applicable states (Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, Wisconsin).
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Certifications in BLS and ALS from the American Heart Association.
• Strong assessment, communication, and collaborative skills; ability to adapt to changing demands.
• Commitment to infection control, patient safety, and professional development.

Pay

PRN/per diem hours.
