About the Role
Provides leadership and coordination of ICU unit staffing to ensure delivery of quality patient care and achievement of clinical objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assigns, directs, educates, and monitors nursing and support staff during shifts.
- Assesses patient care needs, develops care assignments, and ensures appropriate care delivery.
- Collaborates with advanced practice providers to optimize outcomes.
- Evaluates patient care effectiveness and addresses issues impacting outcomes.
- Responds to patient care concerns and participates in staff hiring, training, and evaluation.
- Performs performance evaluations and contributes to staff development.
- Ensures safety and maintains alertness during operations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
- At least one year of registered nurse experience.
- Current RN license and BLS certification.
- Ability to work night shifts.
- Compliance with physical and sensory demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling.
