About the role

The BayCare Health Systems staffing resource office is currently seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join their outstanding and compassionate float team.

Responsibilities

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in the plan of care.
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates the plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments.
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares the room environment.
• Performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS (AHA) are required.
• Associate degree in nursing (ASN)
• 18 months RN experience in an acute ICU setting is required.
• 2 years RN experience in an acute ICU setting is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred.
• Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts.
• Flexibility travel nurse experience preferred.

• Shift Hours: 6:45pm-7:15am
• Weekend Work: Every Other
