Serving both Adult and Pediatric patients, Meduflex provides opportunities to build a strong clinical foundation within a specialized nursing zone.

About the Role

The Adult Critical Care unit offers floating between several high-acuity units including the Surgical Trauma Burn ICU, Cardiac ICUs, and both Medical and Surgical ICUs in the Main Hospital and Ashley River Tower. The Pediatric Critical Care unit covers the Pediatric and Neonatal ICUs, and Peds Heart Center. Both units provide new graduate nurses with a comprehensive orientation program, individualized mentorship, and ongoing guidance from an experienced Nursing Professional Development Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Floating between high-acuity units in Adult and Pediatric Critical Care
• Assisting in providing individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients and families
• Interacting with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
• Associate or Diploma degree in nursing for RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013, must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
