The Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in their homes, following physician prescriptions and adhering to nursing standards. Requirements Include Graduation from an approved nursing schoolCurrent licensure by the State Board of NursingValid driver’s licenseCPR certification Preferred Qualifications Recent hospice or long-term care experienceExperience with death, dying, and bereavement issuesOne year of general nursing experience Key Skills And Abilities Adherence to professional standards and hospice philosophyStrong observation, assessment, and communication skillsProficiency in electronic medical record documentationSelf-directed, flexible, and team-oriented Physical requirements include: ability to lift 50 lbs, prolonged standing and walking, and performing physical maneuvers like reaching, bending, and kneeling.
