Registered Nurse - Hospice

South Boston, VA – Evening Shift (4PM-12AM)

About the role

The Direct Care Registered Nurse – Home Health and Hospice provides high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes or hospice settings, ensuring comfort, dignity, and emotional support during end-of-life care. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with travel up to a 50-mile radius from Sentara Hospice Services in South Boston, VA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care in patients’ homes or hospice settings.
• Perform patient assessments and coordinate comprehensive care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient needs.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required).
• Valid RN License in Virginia (Required).
• BLS certification (Required within 90 days of hire).
• 1 year of nursing experience (Required).
• Previous Home Care/Hospice experience (Preferred).

Pay

$33.61–$56/hour, with market-competitive compensation packages including base pay, incentives, and benefits.
