Registered Nurse - Homeless Outreach Program

About the role

The Registered Nurse position at Thresholds provides medical and psychiatric support in a person's community, offering work/life balance while serving those with mental illness and limited healthcare access. Key responsibilities include care planning, assessment, and implementing interventions, working closely with clinical teams and providing health education.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and psychiatric support in clients’ communities
• Work closely with clinical teams including consulting psychiatrists and medical doctors
• Provide health education and training on topics relevant to clients' overall wellbeing
• Engage in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based practices

Requirements

• Passion for mental health advocacy
• Desire to provide compassionate care
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Good writing skills
• Strong time management and organization skills
• A valid driver’s license, current car insurance, and daily access to a car
• Willingness to provide transportation to clients

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license
• Education: Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing

Benefits

• Competitive base salary: $87,000 - $97,000 annually based on education and experience

Schedule

Standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
