Registered Nurse - Hematology/Bone Marrow Transplant

About the Role

This registered nurse position involves providing specialized care in a Bone Marrow Transplant/Hematology unit with HEPA filtration to protect immunosuppressed patients. The RN will deliver comprehensive care for patients undergoing transplants, stem cell infusions, and supportive therapies, supporting patients through various stages of illness and recovery. The role requires leadership, effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to unpredictable situations in a high-acuity environment with advanced infection control measures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants, stem cell infusions, and supportive therapies.
• Provide direct patient care and support patient and family education.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research activities.
• Assume leadership roles as needed in a specialized care setting.
• Work in a high-acuity environment with advanced infection control measures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience.
• Current RN license and BLS certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skills
