Registered Nurse (GI Lab) - full time - Mercy Jefferson
About the Role
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care in the GI Lab at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients and evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.
This is a specialized nursing opportunity in a dynamic procedural environment, partnering closely with physicians and providing exceptional patient care throughout the endoscopy process. The role includes a rotating weekend and holiday call schedule, and nurses must reside within 30 miles of Mercy Jefferson due to on-call responsibilities.

Requirements
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed; must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Must reside within 30 miles of Mercy Hospital Jefferson due to on-call responsibilities.
