About the role
Registered Nurse (Part-time, 16 hrs/week, 3pm-11:30pm) providing direct patient care in a mental health setting.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing care plans, documenting care, and evaluating outcomes.
- Welcoming patients, promoting a safe environment, and supervising care staff.
- Facilitating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges through collaboration with relevant departments.
- Collecting and analyzing data with patients, families, and healthcare providers to plan treatment and discharge.
- Participating in department improvement activities, professional development, and staff training.
- Supervising patient care as needed, managing resources within budget, and serving as a role model for staff and students.
Qualifications and skills
- Nursing degree and current Illinois RN license.
- CPR/BLS certification; CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Preferred: psychiatric experience, knowledge of abnormal psychology, and therapeutic systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively.
