Registered Nurse - General Surgery Clinic

Join our General Surgery North clinic as a Full Time RN, working with both general surgery and bariatric patients.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• No nights, no weekends
• Opportunity to work remotely 2 days per week after the first 60–90 days

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices
• Perform telephone triage, manage patient flow, and coordinate patient care
• Schedule emergent-need patient appointments
• Identify learning needs for patients and families; provide advice and recommendations
• Insert intravenous access, administer medications, and perform other duties as assigned based on clinic need
• Delegate tasks to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and scope of practice
• Serve as subject-matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing
• Enter admission orders as directed by provider
• Manage expired samples
• Work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously
• Cover Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed

Requirements

• KS & MO RN licensure required
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• Registered Nurse (KS & MO) – National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
• Associate Degree
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
