Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, patients, and designated care partners in a manner that respects and collaborates with each individual.
• Develops nursing plans of care with patients and their designated care partners, ensuring they align with cultural beliefs and values.
• Partners with patients and their designated care partners to identify learning needs and priorities, and educates them about their health and treatment plans.
• Minimizes risks by adhering to established nursing practices and protocols, and by assessing and managing potential hazards.
• Uses information technology to enhance communication, knowledge management, and ethical decision-making in patient care.
• Maintains and monitors the quality and safety of patient care through data-driven improvements and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Creates an inclusive environment that supports patients, their families, and designated care partners, addressing their needs and preferences.
• Acts as a mentor and preceptor to assist in the professional development of other staff members.
• Participates in hospital and practice setting committees focused on safety, quality improvement, and professional growth.

Requirements

Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Patient-and Family-Centered Practice Knowledge, Cultural Awareness, Effective Communication, Patient Assessment and Care Knowledge, Medication Administration and Prescription Knowledge, Discharge Planning Knowledge, Assessment and Diagnosis Knowledge, Health Information Documentation Knowledge, BLS - Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross, RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_NJ - State of New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree BSN or completion of BSN or appropriate advanced degree within 3 years of hire strongly preferred.
• One year Previous experience as an RN in an acute care setting strongly preferred.

Skills

Knowledge of evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and the ability to integrate patients' preferences and cultural beliefs into care planning.
