Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering individualized nursing care using the nursing process, collaborating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing practice, addressing all phases of preventative, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsibilities include coordinating care, assessing residents, providing education, and performing various nursing interventions.
Key Duties
- Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Ensure safe, reliable resident care and address care or service concerns.
- Operate within the standards of the Nurse Practice Act and professional nursing ethics.
- Maintain required competencies and certifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Hold an unencumbered RN license in the practicing state or multistate licensure.
- Competent in resident assessment, care coordination, and nursing interventions.
