Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process to meet patient, family, and team needs through effective communication, coordination, and evaluation.
- Ensure compliance with policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited BSN or MSN program within six months of hire; graduation required within three years.
- Preferred: BSN or MSN degree.
- Current licensure with the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS certification within six months.
- Dysrhythmia course completion within three months.
- National certification in specialty area preferred.
Requirements
- Ability to lift less than 20lbs frequently; lift 20-50lbs occasionally.
- Standing, sitting, reaching, walking, talking, hearing, and visual acuity required.
- Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and pushing.
- Work environment may include noise, varied temperatures, and exposure to cleaning agents, odors, patient contact, and operative equipment.
