About the role
The registered nurse assesses residents' health, educational, and environmental needs upon admission and continuously monitors their condition.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update individualized care plans through interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring timely documentation.
- Implement nursing interventions, including medication administration, treatments, and IV therapy, while maintaining safety and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and team members using tools like SBARR during critical situations.
- Monitor care delivery, identify problem areas, and utilize QAPI processes for resolution.
- Provide resident assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain current knowledge of nursing best practices.
Qualifications
- Accredited nursing degree resulting in RN licensure.
- Current state license and CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Preferred experience in long-term care.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, organizational, and physical abilities.
- Capable of lifting, transferring, and assisting residents weighing over 200 lbs, and operating equipment weighing over 40 lbs.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity, visual acuity, and proficiency in documentation.
Pay
Compensation ranges from $29.39 to $48.20 per hour.
