About the Role
This position involves assessing residents' health, educational, and environmental needs upon admission and throughout their stay. The RN develops and updates individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, including residents and families. The role emphasizes delivering safe, effective resident care and maintaining professional knowledge through ongoing education.
Responsibilities
- Accurately assess and document residents' health status and needs
- Develop, review, and revise care plans based on resident needs and goals
- Implement nursing interventions and document all actions
- Administer medications and treatments
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and families
- Respond calmly to crises and monitor resident care for quality and safety
- Ensure timely communication of changes in residents' conditions using critical thinking skills
- Participate in ongoing education to stay current with nursing practices
Requirements
- Licensed RN with current certification in the state
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- CPR/AED certification (or willing to obtain within six months)
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and organizational skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist with residents and equipment
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity
