Responsibilities
- Communicates with patients and businesses
- Schedules tests and consultations
- Obtains specimens
- Absesses patients
- Performs office procedures
- Maintains clinical supplies
Requirements
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee
- At least one year of experience in a medical office setting
- Proficient with Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, autoclave, stethoscope, audioscope, phones, and oral/injectable medications
- Ability to sit, stand, communicate effectively in English (both orally and in writing), and lift over 20 pounds
- Accurately records patient histories and vital signs
- Administers immunizations and injections as needed
- Provides patient counseling on health issues
- Maintains clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
- Cohorts referrals and secures consultations with specialists
- Trairs phone calls and manages patient portal messages
- Obtains prior authorizations for medications and tests
- Ensures quality assurance for office lab
- Coordinates with pharmacies to ensure patients have necessary medications
Qualifications
- Nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution
