About the role

This position provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process, directs and leads other assigned team members, and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
  • Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment by ensuring patient privacy and professional behavior.
  • Demonstrates ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in shared governance, adherence to standards of care, and professional development.
  • Coordinates patient care services through care management principles, identifying clinical priorities, and initiating actions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Functions in a professional practice model through participation in shared governance, promoting a healthy work environment, and accepting personal responsibility for professional growth.

Requirements

  • South Carolina or Compact State RN License.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Qualifications

  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills for tasks such as taking patient vitals, administering injections, or conducting physical exams.
  • Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed.
  • Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts, documents, and monitors.
  • Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, as well as to perceive important sounds such as alarms or patient instructions.
  • Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care, including long shifts and potentially stressful situations.
  • Mobility to navigate clinical environments, including moving between patient rooms, offices, and other areas of the facility.
  • Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Pay

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

36 weekly hours, rotating shifts to accommodate patient care needs.
