Responsibilities

• Adheres to the department's and hospital's policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards.
• Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility.
• Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs.
• Gathers data relevant for patient care.
• Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire
• Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years, upon hire OR Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years, upon hire
• Registered Nurse license: WA, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 60 Days
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 months
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 months
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 months OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 months

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), upon hire
