Job Summary
Beloit Health System is adding to its Beloit Memorial Hospital Float Pool with an opening for a Registered Nurse.
Key Details
- Shift: 1st & 3rd
- Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
- Hrs per week: 48 hours per 2 week pay period on 1st or 60 hours per 2 week pay period on 3rd

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery from a variety of medical or surgical conditions.
- Administer intermittent and continuous IV medications and monitor condition changes to optimize patient recovery and accurately document in the EMR.
- Plan, coordinate, supervise and provide care for clients throughout their life span within the framework of the well/illness continuum.
- Assess basic physical, psychological and social needs of patients and their families.
- Effectively plan patient care and consistently implement the patient's plan of care.
- Accurately evaluate patient's health status in relation to outcomes of nursing interventions/medical therapies.
- Provide patient/family education appropriately.
- Strictly adhere to infection control policies including body substance isolation and blood born pathogen precautions.
- Participate actively in Quality Improvement program.
- Perform unit specific duties according to established unit-based competencies.
- Complete documentation according to policy.
- Set goals and priorities for provision of care to a group of patients according to acuity.
- Ensure patient safety while handling, transporting and providing medications to patients; protect patients from various hazards, falls, disease exposure, etc.
- Demonstrate ability to perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software application appropriate to position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable
- State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date)
- Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire, ACLS within 1 year of hire
- Telemetry experience is helpful
- Must be flexible to work across multiple units
