Registered Nurse Float - CARE - Medical Surgical - Full Time Day Shift
About the role
The float Medical-Surgical nurse is responsible for managing the care of the adult or geriatric patient experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The nurse must be able to assess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education. The Medical-Surgical nurse maintains a wide array of medical care knowledge in order to care for a diverse group of patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage the care of adult or geriatric patients experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures.
- Absess patient condition, administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, keep records and provide patients and families with support and education.
- Maintain a wide array of medical care knowledge to care for a diverse group of patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Previous nursing experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration
- RN license active in the state of Missouri.
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
- Must obtain ACLS within one year of hire.

Schedule
12 hour shifts 0630-1900 or 1830-0700
Only 2 to 3 shifts each week
Additional shifts available but not required, giving you flexibility
