Registered Nurse (Float)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Affords assessments and evaluations of patient and family needs to deliver quality care to assigned patients. Develops, discusses, and communicates a plan of care for each patient, collaborating with patients/families to address identified needs. Evaluates the patient's response to the care provided; modifies care based on responses. Coordinates nursing care and patient/family education for psychiatric patients using the nursing process. Travels to other facilities as needed and/or as instructed. Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes. Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing, substance disorders, and/or behavioral health (preferred)
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Intermediate knowledge of electronic medical record documentation/utilization in a paperless setting
• Effective communication skills in English via verbal and written means

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Current state Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification required upon hire
• De-escalation training required within 30 days of hire
