About the Role

Thrive on variety and make a meaningful impact in acute care nephrology. DaVita is seeking a flexible, quick-thinking Float RN to provide life-sustaining dialysis care across multiple hospital and acute care settings in Muskegon and Grand Rapids, MI. In this fast-paced, collaborative role, you’ll rotate among top providers, working directly with diverse patient populations in the ICU, CCU, ED, and other acute care units. If you are a self-starter who loves variety, autonomy, and making a critical impact, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Float seamlessly between hospital units and facilities, bringing your expertise where it's needed most.
  • Provide specialized inpatient dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis.
  • Collaborate with diverse hospital teams and DaVita clinical staff across different locations to ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Monitor high-acuity patients, adjust treatments on the fly, and ensure top-tier clinical outcomes.
  • Support and oversee patient care alongside Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) in ever-changing environments.

What to Expect

  • Dynamic Scheduling: Daily schedules and locations may change based on patient needs. Shifts include regular and on-call hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Comprehensive Paid Training: No prior dialysis experience required. Specialized training in nephrology provided.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • ADN required; BSN preferred.
  • ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg experience is highly beneficial for a float role but not required.
  • CNN/CDN certification (preferred).
  • Must pass a color vision test (accommodations available).
